From renewable DC to the 48 V rack.

Data Server Room

A simpler critical power path for sites where power already starts as DC.

Today's typical path.

Utility AC to MV transformer to UPS rectifier to battery to UPS inverter to PDU to server PSU to PoL to processor. Extra DC-AC-DC trip often happens on solar/storage sites.

The ThunderApple path.

On-site solar/wind/batteries (or grid via central front end) to 380/400 V DC bus with direct battery tie to rack shelf to 48 V to PoL. Critical path can drop to two-three conversion stages.

What's in the package.

Direct-DC MPPT Gateway; SSCB Safety Module; Core Power Shelf; Engineering and commissioning.

A hybrid facility, not an all-or-nothing switch.

Chillers/HVAC/life-safety stay on AC; compute critical path on DC.

Where the fit is strongest.

Solar/BESS co-located DCs; modular/edge; industrial microgrids; greenfield designs. AI and HPC halls moving toward ±400 V / 800 VDC are a longer-term segment for ThunderApple after the renewable and DC-native beachhead—not the primary offer today.

Who we work with.

EPCs, modular DC developers, site owners in design; can work alongside incumbent facility DC plants.

How we compare.

Bel Power Solutions and Vertiv already offer HVDC-input rack shelves; Vertiv and Delta/Eltek supply facility-scale DC plants. ThunderApple focuses on integrated renewable coupling plus protection plus rack conversion plus engineering for renewable-fed/DC-native sites; aim to interoperate where incumbents are present.
